After spinal surgery at 19, I experienced firsthand the power of strength and movement to get out of—and stay out of—pain. For years I loved running marathons, but eventually the pain caught up with me and I could no longer run the way I once did.

That’s when I picked up a kettlebell—and I was hooked.

What started as a way to stay active turned into a completely new relationship with training. I stopped identifying as a runner and stepped into a new role: someone who loves strength through technique and skill.

Now at 50, I believe strength is more than exercise—it’s our fountain of youth. I teach strength as a mind-body practice that helps people harness their own power, both mentally and physically. Whether the tool is kettlebells, barbells, dumbbells, or bodyweight, my goal is simple: help you build strength that keeps you resilient, capable, and pain-free.

Strength is a skill to be learned and mastered. It’s never too late to tap into the strength you are capable of—and grow older like a badass.
