What is your 2026 Strength Goal?
Hello Bellbar Strength Family!
Let’s be real for a minute.
Most New Year’s resolutions last until…February. Gyms are packed for a month or two, then life happens. The motivation fades, and that initial weight-loss goal that felt so exciting turns into frustration when results don’t come fast enough.
As a gym owner, I feel the pressure every year to market to the “New Year, New You” crowd. You’ve seen it:
“90 days to a beach body!”
“Lose weight in 12 weeks or your money back!”
Do those gimmicks bring people in short term? Sure.
Do they actually help people long term? Not really.
So what does work?
Strength goals.
Stop trying to lose something. That puts you in a constant negative mindset.
Instead, start trying to gain something strong, capable, and positive.
What ambitious strength goal do you have for 2026?
Mine is to maintain my single-arm push-up (and all my StrongFirst qualifications). And yes—there are plenty of days I don’t feel like training. It happens to me too. On those days, I don’t think about “working out.” I think about what I need to practice to keep and improve my strength. Because if I don’t practice it, I lose it.
I’ve seen too many clients laser-focused on losing weight, only to self-sabotage once they get there. You hit the number on the scale…now what?
Strength goals don’t have that problem. There’s always another rep to clean up, another skill to learn, another level to work toward. It’s truly use it or lose it.
A strength goal gives you purpose, direction, and something to chase—
and it will keep pushing you to show up and get better, year after year.
So…what STRENGTH GOAL do you have for 2026?💪
Have a happy and safe New Year!
In strength,
Angela
